Seychelles Island Hopping: The Three Main Islands

BEHIND THE INSPIRATION

Island hopping is wonderful opportunity for those who want to be active and experience a lot in the short period of time… from Caribbean islands, Thailand island hopping to the Seychelles archipelago island hopping, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience. We discuss with our clients two couple options for island hopping and details, it was hard to decide by they opt for Seychelles- Indian ocean archipelago glamorous and breathtakingly beautiful. It’s the perfect place for those that appreciate natural beauty of white sands, granite peaks and turquoise waters, as well as up-close-and-personal experience with some of the most beautiful creatures in nature.  They were impressed with environmentally conscious philosophy.

They opt for three main inhabited islands:  Mahé, Praslin and La Digue.

JOURNEY BLUEPRINT

The adventure started on arrival in the Seychelles, where they are met at the airport and taken to the ferry port, to catch the hour-long ferry to Praslin (there are also option to fly with Air Seychelles -20 minutes scenic flight, private boat or helicopter transfer).

It’s a scenic journey and on arrival they were met and taken to the resort at Praslin with pristine white sand beach.  Their villas were decorated with contemporary elegance and traditional Seychellois architecture, private pools, and expansive terraces that open up to panoramic views of the Indian ocean.

The island of Praslin itself is a treasure full of natural wonders. They explored the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve. A UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to the iconic Coco de Mer palms. Embarked on a snorkeling adventure to discover vibrant coral reefs and took a boat trip to the nearby Curieuse Island to encounter giant tortoises in their natural habitat. They enjoy romantic dinner on the beach ..

The small island of La Digue is a car-free paradise. The least populated of the three main islands, and feeling well off the tourist trail, La Digue is appreciated for its laidback living.  Anse Source d’Argent on La Digue is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. They hired a bikes and circle around following the coast, where just one stunning view after the other passed. Along the road are many boutique craft, jewelers’ stalls, fruit stalls…

Finished their Seychelles holiday on the main island- Mahe, where they went to hike through the lush jungles.  They visited the colorful markets and getting in touch with the Creole culture. On the last day they enjoyed luxurious spa treatments with natural ingredients, set amidst lush tropical gardens.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

The best time for Seychelles island hopping is during the dry season, which runs from April to May and October to November. During these months, between the two trade winds, the weather is more stable, with lower humidity, pleasant temperatures, and less rainfall. However, there is really no bad time to visit the Seychelles. While the islands experience both wet and dry seasons, tropical downpours can occur at any time. Situated near the Equator and far from large landmasses in the Indian Ocean, the weather can be unpredictable. Temperatures in the Seychelles remain consistently warm, around 30°C (86°F) year-round.
